  • You can now go to www.laclerksportal.org and search mortgage and conveyance indices of all participating parishes at no charge. If you find a record that you would like to access, the portal will connect you to the website of that specific Clerk of Court.
  • In accordance with Act 173 of the 2017 Regular Legislative Session, changes to recording fees will become effective on August 1, 2017. Click on the Fees link to access the new fee schedule.

Conveyance/Copy Department
   
The Conveyance/Copy Department is located on the 1st floor of the Clerk of Court’s Office.

The Copy Department is responsible for making copies of records dating from 1822 to the
present.  The Copy Department, which holds all of the Conveyance records,  has the
availability to make copies of Judgments of Divorces,  Miscellaneous Acts, Emancipations,
Sheriff’s Sale Records, Power of Attorney, Discharges from the Armed Forces, and other
Miscellaneous Acts.  Original recorded Acts from the very early 1800's to date are accessible from this department.
 
The index to Plats (maps), Partnerships, Wills, and Corporation Records are also available for
viewing in this department.
 
The Conveyance/Copy Department has several computer terminals with Intranet service available for use by the general public.
