The Appeals Department is now located at 310 Church St., directly across the street on the west side of the Old Courthouse building.

The Appeals Department handles all Suspensive and Devolutive Appeals within the 32nd Judicial District Court.
Once the Clerk’s Office receives a Notice of Appeal and proper payment from the attorney, the Appeals Clerk prepares two copies of the entire record and those, along with all copies of transcripts, are sent to the Court of Appeal together with all pertinent exhibits.
Once the case has been resolved through the Court of Appeal, the record, transcripts, and exhibits are returned and re-filed into the Clerk of Court’s Office and properly put in storage.
