The Criminal Records Department maintains and controls all criminal (felony, misdemeanor and traffic) records, criminal non-support records, and juvenile records.
They are responsible for the filing of all formal charges from the District Attorney’s Office in Terrebonne Parish and the allotment of those cases to the appropriate judge. The department files and places into the data system all Bills of Information and subsequent pleadings, which are necessary for the prosecution and proceedings of all criminal charges.
This department prepares records for court, as well as input all documents received via a court proceeding.
The Criminal Records Department will assist all customers inquiring on any criminal matter, as well as take in person orders for background checks.
All physical records are stored and maintained by the Criminal Records Department.
